round three of Wonky Bee is starting and i have never been more excited about a bee in my life. we are jumping right in the middle of the traveling quilt craze and as i said... i can't be more excited..
i pulled my fabrics...
and THIS BOOK is the inspiration... i found this book at the library about a year ago. i have to admit i judge most books by their cover and this one looked very good. i was not disappointed. i LOVE this book. it is the most beautifully written and illustrated childrens book i have ever seen. i can't wait to see what these girls come up with.
i will be back tomorrow to show you my first blocks!
p.s. i am joining the blogtoberfestivities again this year!
kat took the time to personally invite everyone that participated last year and that kind of dedication deserves to be rewarded so let the 31 days of blogging commence!
p.s.s. full disclosure: i only blogged 18 of the 31 days last year... i'm hoping to do half as well this year! ;)

I love that you used a children's picture story book for your inspiration! That is going to be one amazing 'happy' quilt!
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric you pulled! I need to see if my library has that book.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that you got your colors from a kid book. Can't wait to watch your traveling quilts grow!
ReplyDeleteYay! glad you're blogtoberfesting. And that fabric pile is droolworthy...
ReplyDeletei'm worried that i pulled too much fabric. i think i'm going to have to use a flat-rate box to send it all. maybe i should edit my pile down to be more like yours. it looks more manageable.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely pile of fabric. I'm excited that I'm first for your stack! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSounds pretty exciting and fun! And good luck with the blogging!!
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics look so happy :)
ReplyDeleteOoh lovely x
ReplyDeleteWow what a pretty book. I need to see if our library has it, I love a good kids book! Excited to watch these quilts unfold, I love the round robin idea!
ReplyDeleteOh cute! I love the book-as-inspiration fabric scheme idea. Your choice is so happy!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what your bee creates with that book as inspiration and those beautiful fabrics to use.
