more gifts, please...

A purse for my sister Natalie.  She usually is not a pink fan but she really likes matching with her daughter. (see below).
And a cover for my Gramma's kindle, which she hasn't been able to put down.
I think she has read about 8 books since she got the kindle.  It was the perfect gift for her!
(sorry about the dark dark pictures, i took them with my phone...)

Better late than never...

Christmas gifts were handmade this year...  Yes, I know Christmas is long past but I was TERRIBLE about taking pictures of the gifts I made this year (like I didn't take a single one.  the only reason I have these pictures is because the recipients took them and e-mailed them to me.)  All of them have been delivered and loved for some time now.
I made this little pillowcase for Anja.  She loves all things pink and ruffley.
I have had this lace for a very long time and was just waiting for the perfect project.  Found it!
I also made her this cute little purse.  Perfect for a couple books, snacks, and lip gloss!
Like I said, all things pink and ruffley!

a very dear friend of mine is having a baby. we have been friends for many many years.
we danced together in college. she was my roomie during college too.
i introduced her to her husband (who is one of my husbands best best friends).
she is such a great mom.  she is such a marvelous example to me.
and finally after three boys, she is having a little girl.
i knew she was getting a lot of pink and so i thought a little orange and purple were in order!
i love ya mandy.  i can't wait to meet her!

Wonky Stars for Captain Konrad

My sweet sweet sister made me an adorable little quilt for my little boy.  She is now pregnant with her first little kiddo and it is a little boy.  We are so excited to meet him.
These are my first wonky stars ever.  I think I was a bit hesitant to go improv, I don't know what is wrong with me.  I loved seeing them come to life.
The little red owl cracks me up.  I feel like he is about to roll his eyes at me.
I am really excited to get this little quilt together.  It is going to be really fun to make it for my newest little nephew.  Can't wait to meet you Captain!

long long ago...

long long ago (well, 3 years ago)... i had a baby... her name is sara...  she slept in this...
Her bedding was so cute and it was custom made.  Although, not by me...
This was before I ever thought of making a ruffle.

I have a confession to make.

I have ripped it, cut it up, taken it apart.

My plan...

A couple pillowcases, a big new quilt, maybe a flag banner.

I am just designing, designing, designing...
and sewing, sewing, sewing...
