{a walk...down memory lane}

this is my first quilt... 

first pieced quilt made with my own two hands... and then not tied.

i love it!  i love the colors. i love the borders.

i love the blue backing and the pink dot binding.  

i love that it was my first time ever binding a quilt... and yes, you can tell. 

i love everything about it.

ribbons galore...

well....  i didn't get the "purple" ribbon but i did get displayed!  

and i got three blue ribbons!

i was pretty happy about that!  this is my "buggy barn" quilt.

and this is what i covet!  that crazy purple (white) ribbon!  but spencers theory still holds true.  purple quilt = purple ribbon...

i just don't think i can do it though...  i am not a purple girl.

this was the judges choice best of show winner.  i love the trees and the mountain but the animal appliqué is a bit much for my taste...

i do love love love the trees though!

but this is what i was really proud of.  my accident of  a good picture. oh how i love that little girl!
